Children's Day 2025 Celebration in Chennai
On November 14, 2025, we brought together students, educators, and partners for a full-day celebration honoring the curiosity and potential of our young scientists.
Programme Highlights:
Introductory Remarks: Dr. Gayatri Venkataraman, Senior Principal Scientist at MSSRF, welcomed students and guests, setting the tone for a day dedicated to learning, creativity, and celebration.
Message from Leadership: Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chairperson of MSSRF, shared an inspiring message about the importance of nurturing scientific thinking in young minds.
Library Book Contribution Ceremony: A generous donation of library books was presented by the Class of 2000, S.B.O.A. School, Coimbatore, facilitated by Dr. Aarthi Ramasamy (Principal Scientist, MSSRF), enriching learning resources for ECAS students.
Quiz & Drawing Competition: Students showcased their scientific learnings and creativity through engaging competitions held at Sambasivan Auditorium and the ECAS room, celebrating their knowledge and artistic talents.
The Memory Challenge: An interactive activity that tested students' recall and cognitive skills, bringing excitement and friendly competition to the auditorium.
Quick Draw AI Game: Students explored the intersection of art and technology through this playful AI-powered drawing game, discovering how machines learn to recognize their creations.
Learning Physics by Doing: Prof. TS. Natarajan from Retd. IIT Madras, Tirupati Founder of Falling Apple Kids Education Centre delivered an engaging lecture demonstration, making physics come alive through hands-on experiments.
Closing Remarks and Prize Distribution: Ms. Subha Anand, Manager-CSR at L&T Construction, honoured the day's participants and winners, celebrating their achievements and enthusiasm.
