An initiative for better nutrition to bring together different stakeholders across Tamil Nadu for nutrition was launched on May 18, 2017. Called the ‘Tamil Nadu Nutrition Alliance’, the effort is being facilitated by M S Swaminathan Research Foundation in partnership with UNICEF and aims to bring synergy on nutrition efforts across Tamil Nadu in partnership with the Government.

MSSRF mourns the demise of Shri A Ratnam, one of the founding members of MSSRF’s Community Agrobiodiversity Centre at Kalpetta. He played a very important role in the establishment and development of the Centre. He took the lead in the construction of the first building of the Centre and was the Chairman of the Managing Committee for many years.
