Prof M S Swaminathan, Founder, M S Swaminathan Research Foundation, condoles the passing away of Dr Prakash Shetty, former CEO of the Leveraging Agriculture for Nutrition in South Asia (LANSA) project of MSSRF. Dr Shetty provided vision, leadership and strategic direction to LANSA.

Dr Prakash Shetty, CEO of the Research Programme Consortium (RPC) of Leveraging Agriculture for Nutrition in South Asia (LANSA) led by MSSRF, passed away in London on Monday, September 3, 2018.

There were tears of joy as well as sorrow as the staff of MSSRF said goodbye to Ms Nancy J Anabel, Director, Information Education and Communication, at a farewell organised in her honour at the Foundation. She leaves to take on greater responsibilities outside the Foundation.

Now that the floods are receding, there is increasing interest in building a new Kerala characterised by climate resilience.
