Jyoti Shelar is a journalist-turned communications specialist with nearly two decades of experience across media, public health, and development communications. As a journalist, she has worked with leading national publications including Hindustan Times, The Hindu, Mumbai Mirror, and Daily News and Analysis (DNA), reporting on public health, governance, and community issues.
Prior to joining the MSSRF, she was the Communications Lead at the World Health Organization in Timor-Leste.
Jyoti holds a Master’s degree in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s degree in Mass Media (Journalism). At MSSRF, she serves as Head – Communications & Donor Outreach, leading organisational storytelling across platforms, driving thought leadership, and strengthening donor engagement and partnerships.
