Principal Scientist (Grade II) –Health and Nutrition Policy

Dr. Drishti Sharma is a physician and seasoned public-health researcher with over a decade of experience in community health, health-systems strengthening, nutrition policy and epidemiological research. With an MBBS from Lady Hardinge Medical College, New Delhi and an MD in Community Medicine from Maulana Azad Medical College, New Delhi, she combines a strong foundation in epidemiology and biostatistics with strategic research leadership.

At MSSRF, her focus is on translating evidence into policy integrating evidence from local contexts into policy frameworks that enable sustainable diets, resilient livelihoods, and stronger interlinkages between health, agriculture, and climate systems. Previously, she established a policy-research unit at IAVI, held senior roles at PGIMER Chandigarh and IIIT Delhi, and was recognized as a Vanderbilt Global Scholar in Residence. She leverages a strong foundation in epidemiology and biostatistics to drive systemic change in community health and nutrition.
