Prof. Hema Ramachandran Fellowship for Women Scientists’ (SRF)

The M. S. Swaminathan Research Foundation (MSSRF) was established in 1988 as a not-for-profit trust. MSSRF was envisioned and founded by Professor M. S. Swaminathan. The Foundation aims to accelerate use of modern science for agricultural and rural development for development and dissemination of technology to improve lives and livelihoods of tribal and rural communities. MSSRF follows a pro-poor, pro-women and pro-nature approach and applies appropriate science and technology options to address practical problems faced by rural populations in agriculture, natural resources, food and nutrition.

The Foundation works in the areas of Coastal systems, Agro-biodiversity management, Biotechnology, Ecotechnology and Agriculture, Health and Nutrition. MSSRF is currently working in six states of India. Please visit our website for more information.

About Fellowship: 

This is one of the MSSRF’s prestigious fellowships provided to its scholars. This will support a women scientist who wishes to pursue basic research in the specific MSSRF programme areas and research themes such as Biotechnology, Agriculture, Nutrition, Health, Ecotechnology and Climate Change

Minimum Qualification and skill sets: 

Post graduate degree in Agriculture/Biotechnology/Climate Change/Economics and Nutrition With two years of research experience in the above academic streams from UGC/NAAC accredited universities


The selected candidates will publish couple of scientific research articles in reputed academic journals

Rs. 35000/- + 24% HRA / Month
