To promote two-way collaboration in research and policymaking in the areas of Law, Coastal Systems Research, Climate Change, Biodiversity, Biotechnology, Food Security, Education and Communication, also Gender, MSSRF and GNLU signed a Memorandum of Understanding on May 20 at MSSRF headquarters in Chennai. The MoU was signed by Dr G. N. Hariharan, Executive Director MSSRF, and Prof. (Dr) S. Shanthakumar, Director GNLU

 The collaboration would foster:

1) Evidence-based research to aid policy formulation and monitoring;

2) Dialogue to promote mutual understanding, exchanging information and material on laws, policies and rules in the subject areas;

3) Network of international, national, and/or regional stakeholders and decision-makers; and

4) Mutual internship opportunities.

 Other dignitaries present on the occasion were: Dr Niyati Pandey, Head, External Relations and Assistant Professor, GNLU; Ms Sangeetha Rajeesh, Director – Communications – MSSRF, and Mr Prajeesh Parameswaran, Senior Scientist at MSSRF.
