Ms Shatarupa Samantaraya

Shatarupa Samantaraya’s writings focus on rural employment and entrepreneurship, rural development and migration, gender issues, and climate change. She is a Special Correspondent with Argus News, and was awarded the National Laadli Media Award in 2022 for her story on ‘Danteswari Fighters’. One of Shatarupa’s stories — ‘Mali Sahira maula Phula’ — broadcast on ETV Bharat, was recognised at the 2021 Laadli Media Awards as well. She has also received the ‘Best Journalist’ by Odisha Media Awards, and an UNICEF fellowship.
